Emmanuel Owusu

EMBA, BA, Senior Investment Advisor. (Board Chairman)

Chief Investment Officer for Ecobank Asset Management Group across key markets such as Ghana, Nigeria, Francophone West Africa and Central Africa. He provides strategic leadership to the Investment Teams across these locations by defining our Investment Strategies covering the various asset classes, broad asset allocation as well as execution. He is instrumental in leading the product innovation rollout across these key markets and successfully led the launch of the EDC Middle Africa Eurobond Fund which is domiciled in Mauritius.

He previously worked as a Portofio Manager and Senior Investment Advisor at Gateway Wealth Management Ltd. His main responsibility is Portfolio Management of Institutional investors. He has great deal of understanding of the Ghanaian financial market having visited about 20 companies in his former capacity as an Investment Analyst at Databank Asset Management Services Ltd. He also assisted in the management of Databank Epack Investment Fund Ltd and Databank Money Market Fund Ltd and was the key fixed income dealer for Databank Asset Management Services Ltd. Emmanuel has an Executive MBA Finance from University of Ghana and holds a degree in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from the same university. He is a member of the sub- committee on Investment Advisory at the Ghana Securities Industry Association.

Rev. Prof Benjamin Abotchie Ntreh

(Dip. Th, MA. Th, M.Th, Th. D), Senior Lecturer. (Board Member)

Rev. Prof Benjamin Abotchie Ntreh is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast with the Department of Religious and Human Values, and the former Dean of Students in the University.

He has an External Diploma in Theology from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, and a Master of Theology from Lutheran School of Theology.

He obtained his Doctor of Theology from the same Lutheran School of Theology. He is the National Chairman for the Presbyterian Church National Ministries conference Ghana, and also the Pastor in Charge of Presbyterian Church, Sowutuom congregation.

Opoku Boateng

MBA, BCom, Social Entrepreneur (Board Member)

Opoku Boateng is the founder and President of Goldablue Consult and the Managing Consultant for GB Assessment Ltd. He is responsible for business development and overall supervision of all subsidiaries. He spearheaded the establishment of Goldablue Consult, GB Assessment Ltd, 2H Publications Ltd and SlateBoard Ltd. Mr. Opoku Boateng embarked on the entrepreneurship journey at the age of 22 and has never looked back.

He worked on the Global Investment Performance Standards (G.I.P.S) in his capacity as a Service Personnel at Databank, and also initiated the Databank Audio conferencing forum for internal and external communication with clients and representatives of counterparties.

He consults to numerous basic schools in Ghana in building academic performance and provides technological and financial advisory to schools. He champions the STEM Drive Africa project; an initiative designed to empower every school going child from the primary to the tertiary level with the ability to imagine, create and operate technological ideas.

He holds a Master in Business Administration (Energy Management) from the University of Aberdeen (Aberdeen, United Kingdom), and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Cape Coast (Cape Coast, Ghana), and a Certificate in Professional Financial Management. He had his secondary education at Aggrey Memorial Senior High School (Cape Coast, Ghana), and proceeded to pursuit Accounting in Sunyani Technical University (Sunyani, Ghana). In Sunyani Technical University, he became the President for Greater Accra Students’ Union, The Executive Chairman and a Regional Coordinator for the DUES Club. He established several clubs in other tertiary and secondary institutions and his club was awarded the National Best Club during his tenure. Opoku Boateng’s numerous achievements as the club’s Executive Chairman and Regional Coordinator won him the most prestigious 2012 National DUES Personality of the Year award from Databank.

Emmanuel Osei

MBA, MSc, BSc, Humanitarian (Board Secretary)

Emmanuel Osei is a humanitarian, well known community development volunteer and Youth Development Expert. He has over 10 years experience in youth leadership and development. He is a Development Finance Practitioner who works with the UN as a Programme and Budget Associate (servicing 47 African countries). He previously worked with Databank.

He holds a MSc. Development Finance certificate from University of Ghana and a Masters in Economics and Business Administration from Aalborg University in Denmark. He is a trained Project Manager and a Certified Monitoring & Evaluation person. He is also a Chartered Economist with Diploma in IT and Business Skills. Emmanuel is trained in Global Diplomacy by the University of London. He holds Master Certificate of Executive Strategic Leadership Management.

Emmanuel is also a Social Entrepreneur and a Youth Coach/ Mentor, whose passion and vision is to help decrease youth unemployment in Ghana and plays a major role in poverty eradication by educating youth and youth groups on savings and financial literacy. He is a motivator and a conference facilitator. He is the National Vice President of Junior Chamber International Ghana, the Immediate Past President of Youth Impact Network (formerly known as Young African Leaders Network Ghana), and a member of the UN Major Group for Children and Youth and a Fellow of the Young African Leaders Initiative RLC. He is serving and has served in various roles in numerous youth organizations within the West-African region.
